RIZE Massachusetts Foundation (RIZE), an independent nonprofit foundation working to end the opioid epidemic in Massachusetts, today announced the appointment of Gail C. Favreau as Director of Development. She will be responsible for identifying and managing a portfolio of donors, growing donor engagement, and creating new partnerships.
Before being tapped by RIZE, Favreau was the Director of Fundraising events at the Museum of Science, Executive Director of the American Liver Foundation, New England Division, Director of Fundraising Events and Cause Marketing at the Pine Street Inn Boston, and Senior Manager of Fundraising Events at the Greater Boston Foodbank.
“Gail brings extensive experience in fundraising and nonprofit special events, and we are thrilled to have her onboard,” said Julie Burns, President and CEO, RIZE Massachusetts Foundation. “We are confident that she will expand RIZE’s partnerships in the business community, whose investments are so important in the battle against the opioid epidemic in Massachusetts.”
Favreau sits on the boards of the RSM Foundation and Johnson State College of Athletics, and volunteers for several non-profit organizations. Favreau received a B.A. in Hotel Hospitality Management from Johnson State College.
